Student Resource scheme
You are invited to join the Regents Park State School Student Resource Scheme (SRS) for 2025. All outstanding SRS payments must be finalised before the end of 2024 to continue participation in SRS for 2025, unless a payment plan is in place with the Finance officer/Business Manager. The school may instigate debt recovery action in accordance with the department's Debt management procedure if:
- parents/carers who initially opted in for an SRS but have not paid the fee or followed an agreed payment plan, or been granted a fee waiver
- for continuing students who were previously part of the SRS, if parents/carers have not notified the school in writing before the due date of the SRS annual invoice and have not paid the fee or followed the agreed payment plan, or been granted a fee waiver.
The scheme is supported annually by the school's P&C, is managed by the school and operates in accordance with Section 51 of the Education (General Provisions) Act 2006.
The scheme is voluntary, and you are under no obligation to join. However, please be aware if you do not wish to participate you will be expected to purchase all necessary resources indicated on the year level booklist as well as other materials requested by teachers.
The advantages of the School Resource Scheme (SRS) include:
- substantial savings through bulk purchasing;
- convenience of having all the materials needed for classroom activities without the bother of last-minute requests made at home for incidental items; and
- the teachers will be able to choose quality items.
Students who have agreed to participate in the SRS will receive the classroom materials purchased with the SRS money so that the system remains fair to everyone.
Regents Park State School will contribute $9421.71 and the P&C will contribute $1826.00 to help address the cost-of-living concerns for parents and carers.
Once you have signed or continued to agree to participate in the SRS you are obligated to pay any fees owing and will continue to participate until you choose to be removed from the scheme by contacting the office in writing or in person.
All parents and teachers are sensitive to particular economic circumstances that affect everyone from time to time. To assist families, Regents Park State School implements alternative methods of payment (e.g pay over 3 terms. At the commencement of Term 1 $30 Term 2 $30 and Term 3 $25). If any parent has difficulty paying as above you are invited to discuss payment with the Business Manager.
For those parents who choose not to participate in the SRS, a list of requirements is available from the school office. Parents not participating in the scheme will also be requested to purchase online subscriptions such as Maths Package @ $16.30 per student and Decodables licenses @ $2.95 per student. Prep -Year 2 students will be requested to purchase AMH Learning books at a cost of $5.86 per book.
The cost to join the Scheme for 2025 for each student is $85.00
To participate the SRS, please complete the SRS Agreement Form and hand into the office.
